ETRUM® Funds is a global private equity and alternative investment firm managed by a team with over three decades of expertise spanning trade finance, natural resources, energy, infrastructure and emerging technologies. Its flagship fund structures are domiciled in the Cayman Islands and subject to the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.

The firm's flagship trade-finance operations anchor a substantial portion of its portfolio, with fund-level deployments structured as short-term, self-liquidating transactions collateralised by underlying commodities and underpinned by sovereign off-take agreements. Every transaction benefits from one or more layers of collateralisation — physical commodity backing, sovereign guarantees and irrevocable letters of credit — and the firm maintains a strict no-leverage policy across its fund structures.

Investors receive comprehensive reporting, annual audited financial statements from big four firms, and direct visibility into portfolio-level exposures and counterparty profiles.

Strategies

Three vehicles.

Each fund has a distinct mandate; all share the same governance, service providers and capital-preservation discipline.

ETRUM® Funds

ETRUM® Trade Finance Fund I

Alternative investment · private credit · Cayman Islands

The Fund offers investors access to the specialised trade-finance sector through private-credit investments in collateralised trade transactions, financing energy and agricultural commodity supplies to creditworthy commercial entities and sovereign customers.

The Fund was established to finance a sovereign off-take agreement for energy and agricultural commodities, 100% collateralised by a sovereign guarantee, with the General Partner investing alongside a select group of investors. Transactions are self-liquidating — financing is linked directly to cash flows — short in tenure, strongly collateralised by the underlying commodities, and transparently monitored.

Best suited to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices and institutional investors seeking low-risk, short-to-medium-term returns uncorrelated with traditional markets.
